I’ve lived in Vancouver all of life and one of my favourite neighbourhoods has always been South Granville. I love that it’s only minutes from downtown Vancouver and close to so many of my favourite stores. That’s why I’m so excited to tour Viridian, South Granville’s newest boutique rental suites and here’s my honest opinion:

Viridian is a rental building with boutique suites located just off South Granville street on West 14th Ave. The building has one, two and three-bedroom rental homes available, all pet friendly and with a balcony! I had the pleasure of touring a Junior 1 Bedroom Suite and I was so impressed with the building’s artfully designed interiors with designer suites and stylish amenities.

The Neighbourhood

When deciding where to live, I truly think that location is key. With Viridian, you’re a walkable distance from South Granville street where you’ll find super cute boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and more! You’ll also only be minutes to downtown Vancouver by car. My favourite coffee shop on South Granville is Small Victory Bakery and one of my favourite shops is Granville Island Florist.

The South Granville neighbourhood, just like Viridian, is also very pet friendly! If you have a dog, you’ll love this neighbourhood. It’s one of the cleaner, safer, and more upscales neighbourhoods in Vancouver. It’s city living, but you’re also near parks so your pup can run or play freely and happily!

The Building

Every area of the building, from the artwork to the layout and finishes, are very thoughtfully designed. The building has stylish amenity spaces such as the fireside co-working and media lounge, a private dining area, and terrance lounge which residents can book for entertaining. There is also a garden, fitness studio, pet spa, plus outdoor swimming pool and sun deck!

I was just as impressed with the unit I toured! The Junior 1 Bedroom Suite was so well laid out and beautifully designed. The kitchen is what I would consider goals (I would love to entertain in it) and a huge plus is that each unit not only had its own balcony, but in-suite laundry too! For anyone looking to move out on their own, this space would be a dream. I know finding pet friendly buildings that are newer is difficult, so Viridian is a great option for pet owners looking for a more upscale rental home.
