My First Intravenous Vitamin (IV) Therapy Experience

You all know I’ve been trying to get healthier this January, it’s a pretty typical new years resolution haha. But rather than just working out more and eating healthier, I wanted to trying something different and out of the box! For the first time last week, I tried something that I always thought was cool and an unconventional way to live a healthier lifestyle. I’m super excited to share with you all my first Intravenous Vitamin (IV) Therapy experience with the IV Wellness Boutique!

IV therapy is the infusion of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids directly into your blood stream, providing 100% absorption.  Pretty much, if you’re lacking certain nutrients, IV therapy is great way of putting them into your body, in doses that you might not necessarily get from food.

If you haven’t heard of these treatments before, they’re often advertised as a “hangover cure” for hydration, but there are many different types of IVs. The one that I got was “The Burnout” – it contained calcium, magnesium, zine, B vitamins, and vitamin C – this one in particular helps with stress and fatigue.

Is It Safe?
Absolutely! IV Therapy uses water soluble vitamins, minerals, amino acids and at the IV Wellness Boutique, all their IV’s are prepared and administered by licensed Naturopathic doctors to ensure patient safety.

Does It Hurt?
Not for me. Yes, needles are scary, but I love trying anything new so I sucked it up and I’m a HUGE chicken, so it wasn’t that bad. I felt a tingle in my arm, but overall the treatment was comfortable and relaxing. They have iPads and rooms with TVs so you can Netflix and Chill during your treatment. I chose go on my phone and online window shop 🙂

Did you feel effects right away?
I didn’t feel anything instantly, but I did later on. For the rest of my day, I felt more full of energy than usual!

Why use IV Therapy?
It’s great for stress & fatigue, weight loss, or dehydrarion (when you have a hangover), and only takes about 45 minutes for an entire drip session. That’s not a lot of time or commitment in my opinion and you really get results.

Would you try IV Therapy? I know I’ll definitely  be back again! Let me know your thoughts or if you have anymore questions about my IV Therapy experience!
