Investing in my skincare is one of the best things I’ve done for myself. Quality products can go a long way in improving your overall beauty and health, but also affect your self confidence! Your skin is your largest organ after all AND it’s the one you wear on the outside 🙂 This is why I believe luxury skincare does make a difference, you do truly get what you pay for.

You should take notice of how your skin changes at each stage of your life and your skin care routine should evolve at the same rate. La Mer is one of my favourite luxury skincare brands and I get a lot of questions about their products that I use – how they work for my dry skin, if it’s worth the splurge, etc. So, here are my favourites and recommendations for each stage of your skin!

Your Early 20s

In your early 20s, your skin is at its prime. It’s bright, bouncy, and plump because it’s loaded with collagen and elastin! As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and wash your face, exfoliate, moisturize, and wear SPF, you’ll be golden! I know that 27 was when I started to see a drastic change in my skin, that’s when I started investing more into luxury skincare. I would recommend trying La Mer’s minis before this happens! It’s a great way to introduce your skin to a dose of luxury and won’t break the bank. Don’t let the mini sizes fool you though – you don’t need to lather on a lot for results, so they’ll last longer than you would assume!

Your Late 20s

Ahh this is when I truly became a skincare junkie. As you near your 30s, you should seriously start looking into skincare products that work for you and your skin (if you haven’t already). If you haven’t tried any La Mer products at this point, I really recommend the Crème de la Mer Moisturizer and The Treatment Lotion. If I could only keep two La Mer products in my routine, these two would be it.

Your 30s

I’m sure most of you in this range can agree that aging is easily the biggest skin concern as you enter your 30s. This is when serums and eye creams really come to the rescue! You might already be using Crème de la Mer Moisturizer, but what I really recommend adding is The Concentrate serum and an eye cream. They’re definitely much more of a splurge than the moisturizer, but if you’ve tried it and love it as much as me, you’ll instantly know it’s well worth it for your skin!

Your 40s

While I can’t speak for this age group personally, my mother and I chat about skincare a lot and she loves La Mer. Their signature Crème de la Mer Moisturizer is great for all ages, but this is when I would really treat my skin well and go that extra mile. Enter the Genaissance de la Mer collection – words can’t describe how amazing this collection is! I’ve been so fortunate that La Mer gifted me The Concentrated Night Balm to try. It was all I used every night and my skin was truly transformed. Considering the results I received at my age, I’m confident in saying it would do wonders with more mature skin.
