Any of you fans of eyelash extensions? Or thinking about getting them? I’ve been getting lash extensions since 2014 and can’t seem to stop! I took breaks from them periodically, but always found myself going back for a set. If cared for properly, lash extensions can last a long time before you need to get them filled (I go about every 3 weeks, sometimes even a month), and won’t damage your natural lashes.

An important thing with lash extensions if you wear makeup daily is to always take it all off carefully each night – this will make sure your lash area stays clean, and that helps the extensions last longer. It can be tricky since you aren’t suppose to get your lashes and eye area wet or be rough with them. I have go-to products that I highly recommend, they’ll take everything off without harming your lashes:

1. Makeup Remover: L’Oréal Paris Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
I’ve been using this for as long as I can remember. It’s best to use oil-free products when you have extensions, that way they’ll last longer. I use this to take off eyeshadow if I’m wearing any and go around my lash line and bottom lashes with a Q-Tip using this.

2. Cleansing and Exfoliating Wipes: Sephora Collection
I am obsessed with these! They’re great for when you’re travelling and will take off everything. My favourite is the charcoal one – super refreshing! It’s a great way to exfoliate quickly and you can fold the sheets to maneuver around your eyes.

3. Makeup Remover Cloth: The Original Makeup Eraser
This is the best discovery and purchase I’ve made in a long time. I’m not quite sure what it’s made of, but this cloth will take off any makeup with just water! A great option if you go through cleansing and exfoliating wipes very quickly. Best thing is, you can throw it in the wash and use it again!

And last but not least… get a lash brush! Your salon should provide you with one, but remember to use it often! Brushing through them keeps them neat and clean. I brush them after I take all my makeup off, before bed, and first thing in the morning.
