My New Year Workout Plan

January is probably the month where most people enforce a workout routine or just hit the gym more. A new year means a new and healthier you, right? I think so! Who doesn’t want to be in better shape as Winter ends?

I often get asked how I stay healthy and in shape. The truth is… I really just do 2 things – spin and barre. I’m not a fitness blogger (for obvious reasons) and I’ve never been the athletic type, but I have found workouts that I like doing and are the most effective for my body.

1. SoulCycle

I love spin class, I go at least 3 times a week. I prefer SoulCycle over other cycling classes though because I find that the instructors are always on point! You get a full body workout and trust me, you will really sweat – all in under an hour! SoulCycle offers 3 types of classes, their regular class (50 minutes), a longer 60 minute SoulSurvivor class, and SoulActivate classes which is more of a HIIT workout.

2. Equinox

I’ve been a member at Equinox for years and can’t imagine my workout routine without their classes. Like I mentioned, I’m not a fitness person, so I really don’t know how to workout… that why I need classes. Equinox has so many classes depending on what part of your body you need to work on. Since I get my cardio from spin class, I like to do barre classes to condition my muscles. My Equinox locations has 3 types of barre classes – True Barre, Trilogy Barre, and Barre Bootcamp. I do at least one of each class each week.

And there you have it, my (super simple) workout routine! Remember that this is just what I find works for me. Everyone’s body is different so try different things until you find what you like and is effective for you. Again, I’m not a fitness blogger but I wanted to share with you all what I do to stay in shape šŸ™‚
