My Favourite Transitional Fall Pieces (ft. Revolve)

I love Summer fashion, its effortless and breezy, but sadly never lasts as long as I’d like it to. My favourite summer outfits include sun dresses, cute crop tops, and mini skirts, but lately I’ve been incorporating more pieces that I know will transition my wardrobe into the cooler Fall months. The key is to avoid the super seasonal and trendy Summer pieces in exchange for seasonally appropriate ones that will be comfortable for cooler temperatures – but that’s easier said than done. Here are my 3 favourite transitional Fall pieces that you can bet I’ll be wearing in September transitioning into the Fall through October!

1. An updated shirt dress

I love a shirt dress during the Summer on days I want to be more covered up or formal, but still have ventilation in the heat. A cotton shirt dress that isn’t your typical white and shapeless silhouette like this one is stylish and perfect for transitioning you into the Fall. I would style it with some over the knee boots and layer on a jacket for more chilly days.

2. A Relaxed knit top

There’s nothing more comfy than a soft knit top, I love Weekend Stories, especially this crop one. It’s flowy, but still flattering on the body and I love the V-neckline. During the Summer I loved wearing this with shorts and skirts, but I also know that it will be a staple of mine going into the Fall because of the cozy material.

3. Denim shorts (that aren’t too short)

Remember when short shorts were all the rage? I think it’s safe to say thats a thing of the past. I was on the lookout for new denim shorts that were a tad longer, but still ended above my knee. When I found these ones by GRLFRND Denim I was so happy, they were the perfect length and fit me like a glove! Denim shorts are obviously a Summer staple, but with the added length, I can see myself pulling them off on warmer Fall days.
