Montreal is probably my second favourite city in Canada next to Vancouver, which is home. I love the architecture and the quality of food in so many of the restaurants! My brother lives in Montreal, which is what brought me and my family to the city this Thanksgiving. I brought my dog (Latte) with me and we had the best time!
Stay
We stayed at the W Montreal and I’d definitely stay there again! The main reason is because they were extremely accommodating of my dog, Latte! I’m happy when my dog is happy and all the amazing staff at the W Montreal were wonderful to him.
The hotel is very trendy with a great bar – I’ll definitely be back for a girls trip! I also love the location because it’s walking distance to the Old Port of Montreal where I spent a lot of my time.
Eat
There were so many great restaurants! I’ll definitely be coming back for the food, but here were some of my favourites during this trip.

Another favourite: Chasse-Galerie (they have a rotating seasonal menu).
Play
I spent a lot of my time around the Old Port of Montreal. There will be a lot of tourists in this area, but also a lot to see, do, and eat! There is a speakeasy in this area called The Coldroom. I wasn’t able to go this time around, but will next time since I kept getting recommended it! Shopping on Rue Sainte Catherine was also how I spent one of my favourite days and I ended my trip with na visit to Bota Bota Spa (a floating spa)!
