Los Angeles Travel Diary

It’s always sunny in LA! At least that’s what I’ve been told… and it’s the main reason why I’m always up for a trip to LA. I love California! Aside from San Fransisco, Los Angeles is one of my favourite destinations in California for a short trip since it’s such a quick flight from Vancouver.

Stay
West Hollywood has always been the area where I choose stay. I like how central it is, so it’s super quick and easy to Uber everywhere. Most recently I stayed at the London West Hollywood, a charming boutique hotel with stunning views of the hills and a fantastic rooftop pool.

Eat and Drink
I honestly don’t know where to begin! There are endless brunch, happy hour, and dining options in Los Angeles. I’ll tell you my absolute favourites first, and then a few more great places I recommend.

BREAKFAST AND BRUNCH
For breakfast or brunch, my top recommendation is the Cabana Cafe at the Beverly Hills Hotel. If you’re a girly girl like me, you will fall in love with the decor! Definitely give their rosé sangria and french toast a try – you’ll be hooked!

HAPPY HOUR
I always stop by Gracias Madre for happy hour on their patio when I’m in LA. It’s a plant-based vegan Mexican restaurant with the BEST snow cone margaritas.

DINNER
You all know that I love sushi, so naturally my top recommendation for dinner is Nobu. If you’re a sushi lover and want a true culinary experience, Nobu will blow you away.

There is so much to do in LA, I haven’t done nearly as much as I’ve wanted. From the attractions I’ve visited, I can speak highly about the folloing:

Venice Beach Boardwalk and the Canals

Venice Canal Walkways

Next time I visit LA, I’d love to spend more time in Malibu and maybe do a hike. The only one I know is Runyon (basic, I know haha). Please give me your recommendations too if you guys frequent LA often!
