Christmas in Vancouver

Tis the season! Christmas is one of my favourite times of year. I love being festive and getting together with my friends and family. There are so many fun things to do in Vancouver during the Holidays and I’ve rounded up my favourites for you all 🙂

1. Vancouver Christmas Market

I go to the Vancouver Christmas Market every year! It’s a traditional German-style Christmas Market with 80+ huts of authentic treats and treasures. I love going with my girlfriends and grabbing a mulled wine or apple cider. They’re open from November 21 – December 24th.

2. Aurora Winter Festival

The Aurora Winter Festival is also one you don’t want to miss – they’re Canada’s largest Winter Festival! They have a beautiful skating rink, a tube park, a ferris wheel, and beautiful light displays. You’ll feel like you’re truly in a Winter Wonderland! They’re open from November 23rd – December 30th from 4pm-10pm (closed Mondays).

3. Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

From November 22 to January 27, the Capilano suspension bridge is transformed with hundreds of thousands of lights throughout the park! Pictures don’t do it justice (but don’t forget to bring your camera!), you’ll have to go in person to see just how amazing it is!

4. The Nutcracker

This is a tradition for me! It just isn’t Christmas if I don’t see The Nutcracker. I’ve seen many interpretations of it and don’t have a particular favourite because I love them all! Goh Ballet puts on a wonderful production and it’s something fun to go to with friends or family to get in the spirit!
